Paramedicine Across Canada Expo is excited to introduce a Paramedic Fitness Competition to the conference program in 2019!
The PACE 2019 Paaramedic Fitness Competition is a unique 1 day event comprised of 3 preliminary workouts & 1 final workout.
Date: Thursday, September 19, 2019
To recognize the varying degree of physical fitness among delegates, this will be a two-tier competition, with a “novice” and “expert” track. Each workout will emulate, to some degree, on the job tasks that will test both the strengths and skills of each paramedic team.
For spectators, this day will be an exciting and entertaining experience held in a unique downtown venue, outside under the covered portion of the Winnipeg Convention Centre. For competitors, this is an opportunity to showcase the hard work and dedication they bring to their job.
The Paramedic Fitness Competition event will be a fun, challenging and unforgettable day for all involved. We invite paramedics from all over the world to test their fitness and skills against their peers.
Teams will be comprised of one female and one male competitor. BOTH teammates must be paramedics.
Prizes will be awarded to the top 3 teams from each division.
NOVICE: 12 Teams
EXPERT: 12 Teams
Below is a brief description to help you determine what division to register for. The movements listed in the descriptions are benchmarks and not limited to those movements.

Other potential movements that athletes should be competent with include, but are not limited to; front squats, sled pulls, weighted carries, push-ups, burpees, kettlebell swings, power cleans.
Workouts will start to be released 10 days prior to the event.
